Dari-Bee Ice Cream: Reviews & Ratings
I love this throwback soft ice cream business. It’s located right on the bike path or the Eastbay bike path in Riverside Rhode Island. They enticed me with a chocolate sprinkled coffee vanilla twist. And I immediately went back for a kiddy cone after I ate that one. This is a definite place to go with your kids or any adult and located right next-door is a really good coffee shop.
The lady working there told me this places has been open since 1959. That's 65 decades, serving the community. Place even gives you an early 1960's vibe. Another important thing FOR ME, when I go out to eat, is to see Baby Boomers there. They don't like to go to bad places, or noisy places. Only pleasant places. And this observation has of yet not stirred me wrong. My wife and I were biking the trail RIGHT BEHIND the icecream place, and their shakes are really good. Rested for a minute and continued on to burn those calories back. It was a nice experience.
Update: Highly impressed by quick owner response! And very glad to hear that it’s not completely closed even though for sale! We must just not pass it at the right times. Will have to stop by on a day other than Mon/Tues. Haven’t eaten there yet but I love Hershey ice cream so I’m sure it’s great. And it’s location is great, too! Thank you for your response. It’s amazing you have served the area for so long! Life is crazy busy so I’m sure no one blames you for selling! Have a great summer! Original Post: This place is for sale and that doesn’t mean it’s closed down necessarily but we live right near here and it’s never open during open hours anymore so I’m assuming it’s closed at least for now. Wouldn’t have star rated it for this but have to. Just so people don’t make a trip. Current as of 8/4/24
Certainly a convenient stop at the East Bay Bike Path, but there are better places along the way. Just Hershey's ice cream. Not bad but I prefer prefer home made..
Checked this place out for the first time is close to my new home. It’s a nice spot we loved it, they have the nice kitty cups for the kids it’s a perfect serving for them! FYI they only take cash
